Medium Effort’s art workshop transforms into an intimate listening room style venue, a stage for emerging and established talent to share their stories , and the perfect place for you to discover your next favourite music artist!
Oddeline - Jazz / Folk
Oddeline is a musical project based in Ottawa, Ontario. Heavily influenced by 1960s jazz-folk like Nick Drake and Fairport Convention, with a DIY attitude rooted in a love of post punk and early indie bands, Oddeline writes and records her music with a poetic flair and a meticulous attention to detail. Oddeline’s captivating live shows and debut record earned her recognition from Folk Canada and more, gaining opening slots for Bahamas at Ottawa Bluesfest. Her second record, For the love of an empty room, was released August 21, 2026.
Austin Camp - Cottage Country Emo
Austin Camp is an Ottawa-based singer-songwriter. With a voice that shifts between hushed tenderness and strong emotion, Austin writes songs that lean into vulnerability, opening a space for the heavier parts of life. Drawing inspiration from artists like Medium Build, City & Colour, and Pinegrove, his sound balances melancholy with warmth, inviting listeners into stories of reflection, love, loss & connection.
ApolloSleeps - Indie / Folk
Focused on emotional vulnerability and quiet contemplation, ApolloSleeps crafts introspective songwriting driven by narrative depth. Tracks on always late, such as "Basement Blues" and "Waterlily, Wait" pair intimate personal themes with poetic lyrics. Through delicate phrasing and melancholic imagery, the music explores isolation, longing, and everyday reflection with striking clarity.
